About

What We Do

The goal of the Thaddeus Lake Music Foundation is to make sure all children and youth in our community have access to music education and experiences, regardless of financial constraints.

Thaddeus Lake loved and lived music. Only a few weeks before his tragic death at just 22 Thad had shared with his mother his goal to start a foundation to help kids gain access to music experiences. While he was taken from this world too soon, Thad’s legacy of music lives on in the Thaddeus Music Foundation. Thanks to the support of the community the Thaddeus Lake Music Foundation has been able to help children and youth gain access to music education and opportunities. We have been registered as a nonprofit organization under the Alberta Society Act since July 2017 (Alberta Incorporation Number 5020548151).

How We Help

Contribute Funds For Lessons & Music Books

The Thaddeus Lake Music Foundation has helped to cover music lesson fees and/or music for many families in the Leduc area. Music lessons create confidence-building skills that will last throughout a child’s life.

Apply for funding for music lessons and/or music books.

Help Provide Funds For Exam Or Competition Fees

Music lessons can have extra fees that families may not be able to pay including exam and other fees. The foundation helps pay these fees for families experiencing financial hardships.

Apply for exam or competition fee funding here.

Instrument Loans

We provide long-term instrument loans to children and youth whose families are facing financial constraints.

Check out our Apply For Funding page to learn more about long-term instrument loans.

Thad’s M.I.L.L

In August 2023 we open Thad’s Musical Instrument Lending Library (Thad’s M.I.L.L) open for all residents of Leduc County.

Visit our Thad’s M.I.L.L page for more information.
